Founder & Designer, Somewhere Never
Why I Started Somewhere Never
I launched Somewhere Never to create the kind of lingerie I couldn’t find anywhere else—fashion-forward, joyful, and designed to be seen.
I was tired of choosing between overly sexualised styles and plain basics.
I wanted bold colours, custom embroidery, and pieces with real personality—lingerie that could be part of your outfit, not just something hidden underneath.

My Background
I studied Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University in the UK, where the course had a strong technical focus: pattern cutting, construction, and manufacturing.
During a semester abroad at FIT in New York, I took lingerie and corsetry classes—and immediately knew I’d found my niche.
After some travelling, I moved to Sydney, Australia, where I worked for a vintage clothing company restoring garments and developed a deep appreciation for vintage lingerie.
I interned with a few high-fashion brands before landing my first industry job at Pleasure State, a lingerie company that later acquired Bendon.
There, I did everything from patternmaking and fabric dyeing to creating tech packs and prepping samples for shoots and production.
Design Career Highlights
– Designer at a luxury start-up lingerie brand, working across design and production
– Senior Designer at Honey Birdette, where I managed the design timeline and helped launch four new collections a month
– Travelled extensively to factories and trade shows in Paris, Italy, Switzerland, and China
– Moved to Los Angeles with Honey Birdette to support the brand’s US expansion
– Created some of the brand’s best-selling collections

Building Somewhere Never
After over five years at Honey Birdette, I decided to start my own brand—bringing together everything I’d learned along the way. I began by designing my own embroideries in partnership with a Swiss atelier known for working with Chanel and Dior. I sewed the first collections myself, and as demand grew, I moved production to a small, specialist factory in Europe.
Now based in Brooklyn, I’m focused on growing Somewhere Never—introducing new collections regularly and continuing to reimagine what modern lingerie can be.
